Scenius doesn’t happen in isolation. Genius is not a solo act— it’s a collective phenomenon. — Brian Eno, via Show Your Work

Dear Brilliant Community,

This week in Atlanta, I found my people.

My Scenius.

(Scenius: that rare kind of creative brilliance that only emerges in community.)

The ones ignited by curiosity, driven to see things upside down and inside out, who find inspiration in asking different questions.

At RenderATL—a tech and culture summit that felt like pure clarity—I finally stood among minds that understood where I’m coming from and where we’re all trying to go. It was a week of critical thinking, systems thinking, and feeling fully seen.

I’ve been reflecting on what it means to be a producer. Not just in the traditional sense—music, film, or media—but in how I build space, systems, and strategies that move people forward.

To me, a producer is more than a product leader.  A producer sees everything – the vision, the roadblocks, the gaps, the people.  They solve problems across boundaries: product, project, process, and people.  They shape teams.  They make the work happen.

From Quincy Jones to Will Packer to David Banner, these men produce with clarity, conviction, and culture. I’m learning to do the same—in my way.

On the drive down to Atlanta, I joined a Community of Practice call with QCWIB/ProcuraFind network. We talked about emerging technologies, but also about emerging courage—what it takes to build businesses that last and lead. That conversation filled my cup before I even walked through the doors of RenderATL.

I immersed myself in sessions on AI, AI agents, automation, and the future of work—but the most powerful breakthroughs happened in between.

In conversations sparked by simply introducing myself to the person next to me.

In elevator rides to packed sessions.

In moments of quiet mindset resets.

Earlier in the week, I hit a tension point with a client. The kind that, in the past, might have thrown off my rhythm. But something from Who Better Than You? came to mind. Will Packer writes about de-escalation—and the wisdom of not turning against each other when we’re fighting bigger battles. And so, I shifted. I owned my part. I apologized.

The next day, they reached back with warmth and clarity.

Not only were we aligned—we were moving again.

That’s when it hit me:  🌀 Mindset really is everything.

When I stop taking things personally, stop making assumptions (thank you, The Four Agreements), and stay in the work with love, everything changes. The energy moves. The people align. The path clears.

🧭 What I’m Sitting With:

• 📚 Who Better Than You? is still shaping how I show up. I might even     write Will Packer to thank him for the funny yet incredibly insightful book.

• 🔥 RenderATL reminded me that tech and humanity can live together—deeply.

• 🧠 Kelsey Hightower’s keynote left a lasting mark. He said, “I’m not anti-AI. I’m just pro-human.” That line echoes through every room I want to build. Technology should serve humanity - not replace it.

• 🌱 The Alchemist is still whispering: when you move toward your personal legend, the universe moves with you.

In a week full of tech and tools, I'm reminded: AI can support the work, but only we can do the listening, the connecting, the leading.  That's what it means to be pro-human.

💬 Let’s Connect

If you’re sitting on a vision—or trying to find your way —I’d love to talk. Let’s build something brilliant . . . together.
